For the [...]]]></description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Over the last year we&#8217;ve slowly started taking steps to filter the water that we use at home. One of the main reasons for this decision is the amount of chlorine and other contaminants in the water. C<span
style="font-size: 13.3333px;">hlorine is universally used to chemically disinfect water. It kills germs, bacteria and other living organisms. F</span><span
style="font-size: 13.3333px;">or the longest time we&#8217;ve been using Brita filters for all drinking and cooking needs. However, we weren&#8217;t doing anything to filter the </span><span
style="font-size: 13.3333px;">our chlorine exposure when showering. After doing some research online, we found out that c</span><span
style="font-size: 13.3333px;">hlorine is not only absorbed through the skin, but also re-vaporized in the shower, inhaled into the lungs, and transferred directly into the blood system. In fact, the chlorine exposure from one shower is equal to an entire day&#8217;s amount of drinking the same water.</span></p><p><span
style="font-size: 13.3333px;">We looked at whole house water filtration units but currently these products are out of our price range and based on the product demonstrations we saw required some monthly maintenance. As a result, for our shower we decided to try the <a

These filters cost about $25 and need to have their filter cartridges replaced every 6 months. The filter cartridge costs about $10.</span></p><div
